Preibus: Kellogg is “Extraordinarily Talented”
President Trump’s Choice for National Security Advisor declines the offer days after Michael Flynn resigned.
FOX’s Jon Decker has more from the White House:
President Trump took to Twitter to write that acting National Security Advisor Keith Kellogg is being considered for the job on a permanent basis.
White House Chief of Staff Reince Preibus touted Kellogg today on ‘FOX and Friends’:
(Preibus) “He’s a three-star general. He’s extraordinarily talented. He’s been on the team. He’s also been the Chief of Staff of the NSC. So he’s also very much in contention.”
Retired Vice Admiral Robert Harward declined President Trump’s offer to be the new national security advisor.
Preibus said family considerations were the reason, but some reports said that Harward demanded his own team.
At the White House, Jon Decker, FOX News.
General Keith Kellogg, who I have known for a long time, is very much in play for NSA – as are three others.
