SNL Suspends Writer Indefinitely for Tweet Bashing Barron Trump
A “Saturday Night Live” writer lands in hot water for taking a jab at President Trump’s youngest child.
FOX’s Ashley Dvorkin has the latest:
‘Saturday Night Live’ immediately suspended writer Katie Rich after tweeting Barron Trump will be “this country’s first homeschool shooter.”
Outrage quickly spread across social media, with many calling for a boycott of the NBC show. Rich later deleted the tweet and deactivated her account, but reactivated it Monday to apologize.
Former first daughter Chelsea Clinton came to Barron’s defense saying, the 10-year-old deserves the chance to be a kid.
President Trump has been critical of SNL lately, particularly Alec Baldwin’s portrayal of him.
