An Inseparable Bond Between Caesar the Camel & Dolly, the Blind Horse

A pair of animals at a Maine petting zoo are making headlines for their unlikely friendship.

    FOX’s Tonya J. Powers explains:

Caesar and Dolly are best friends and they live at the Pony X-Press Petting Zoo in Winslow, Maine.

Dolly’s a horse, who’s blind. Caesar is a camel, her “seeing eye camel”.

Candis Veilleux owns the zoo and says they’ve been inseparable since they met:

(Veilleux) “He would consistently break out and go and hang out with her.”

He helps her find the food and water:

(Veilleux) “She uses him to help her get around.”

    If they’re apart?:

(Veilleux) “They both cry about it. They do not like to be separated at all.”

    And it’s not one-sided:

(Veilleux) “In the summer months, he’ll actually lay so that her tail swooshes and cleans the flies off his face.”

As Helen Keller said, “I would rather walk with a friend in the dark, than alone in the light”.
