North Carolina Declares State of Emergency

The governor of North Carolina declares a state of emergency in the wake of continued violence over the police shooting of a black man.

FOX’s Jeff Monosso reports:

The National Guard has been called up to assist police following another night of rioting with many protesters throwing rocks and bottles and looting businesses, including the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

Four officers hurt, one protester critically hurt after being shot by another protester:

(Woman) “I can still get shot by the police, I could get shot anywhere.”

(Scott) “Just know that all White people are devils.”

He’s the brother of 43-year-old Keith Scott, who police say a black officer shot and killed because Scott had a gun in his hand.

Family contends it was a book, though we’re told they’ll see the apparent bodycam video today. A day where many Charlotte businesses are also telling employees to stay home.
