Zika Strikes Another County in Florida

Fresh fears in Florida about the Zika virus after another county confirms a case.

    FOX’s Gurnal Scott reports:

Florida Governor Rick Scott says there are five new non-travel Zika cases to report, but one of those falls well outside Miami-Dade County in Pinellas County, specifically around Tampa.

But the Governor doesn’t believe the transmission took place in Pinellas. Scott says he’s confident the state has a handle on this:

(Scott) ”We know we have a very good surgeon general, state department of health and local county health departments. And we have very good mosquito control. We can beat this just like we’ve beaten the others.”

Scott says there a now a total of 42 non-travel related cases in the state of Florida that officials are trying to keep contained.
