The Super Bowl will be heading north once again.

FOX’s Chris Hoenig reports:

Better hope there isn’t a blizzard on February 4, 2018. That will be the date of Super Bowl 52 at the Vikings new stadium in Minneapolis. The big game’s second foray into a cold-weather city in five years.

Fans won’t need blankets, though, U.S. Bank Stadium does have a roof. The 66,000 seat stadium is set to open this summer, with turf installation getting underway this week:

(Bagley) “This is one of the last visible milestone of the stadium construction project, we have about 71 days left before it opens.”

Vikings executive vice president Lester Bagley. Super Bowl 51 will be played in Houston next year, while the 2019, 2020 and 2021 games will be awarded to host cities at NFL owners meetings later this month.
