U.S. Airstrike in Yemen Kills More Than 70 al-Qaeda Terrorists

U.S. aircraft strike an al-Qaeda training camp.

The camp is in Yemen, a country torn by civil war. The Pentagon says the airstrike, coming only hours after the ISIS attacks in Belgium, killed more than 70 terrorists belonging to al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.

A Pentagon spokesman won’t disclose exactly where the camp is, but Yemeni officials and a witness say airstrike hit a former military base that had been taken over by al-Qaeda militants about 47 miles west of the city of Mukalla, an al-Qaeda stronghold.
