KY Clerk Jailed For Refusing To Issue Same-Sex Marriage Licenses

A County Clerk, who has defied multiple orders to issue same-sex marriage licenses, is sent to jail in what she calls a fight for religious rights.

FOX News Radio’s Jeff Monosso reports:

A federal judge orders Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis to jail, finding her in contempt for her continued refusal to issue gay marriage licenses.

(Davis) “When people realize that Kim Davis is being held in a federal custody because of her religious convictions when it can be accommodated by a removing her name from a marriage certificate they’re going to say enough is enough.”

Her lawyer Matt Staver telling FOX News Radio’s Todd Starnes exclusively that his client will not violate her conscious… that she’s willing to say in jail.
