A school district in central Florida will now allow teachers to paddle misbehaving students.

FOX News Radio’s Eben Brown reports from Miami:

    FL Paddling

Watch out, you unruly kids – if you’re in elementary school in the Ocala, Florida area – because your teacher might just give you the paddle!  The school board in Marion County, Florida will once again allow for this version of corporal punishment, but it’s not without its own set of rules, like standing permission from  parents, and it can only be used once a semester per student.

Marion County allowed for paddling up until seven years ago, and the school board member who pushed for its return says it’s good for discipline.
