Holiday Shopping Lines Growing Already
Friday is Black Friday. Thursday is Thanksgiving. But some would-be bargain hunters in south Florida are already camping out in front of big retailers, hungry to shop for the holidays.
FOX News Radio’s Eben Brown reports from Miami:
Audio clip:
Tents are pitched, already, for black Friday here…
(Shopper) “For the past four years I’ve been first and it’s great deals and you can’t miss out on it.”
He’s making camp in front of the doors at a Best Buy near Fort Lauderdale. He’s not the only one in line, and he may not have to wait until Friday for the sales. Some stores are opening doors Thursday night because according to Luanne Lenberg, the manager at the Sawgrass Mills Mall, Black Friday is no longer just a Friday for retailers:
(Lenberg) “And they’re offering such big discounts and values on Black Friday weekend, that they wanted that extra hour to get customers out.”
