At Least 49 Killed, Hundreds Injured in Train Crash in Argentina

At least 49 people are dead and at least 550 are injured after a commuter train accident in Argentina’s capital.

FOX News Radio’s David Noto reports:

A crowded commuter train in Buenos Aires crashed into a barrier at the end of a platform at a busy station, crunching the leading cars behind it.

Passengers say their windows exploded and people were thrown into each other as they stood waiting in the packed cars.

Many of the injured suffered bruises. Several helicopters and more than a dozen ambulances took the most seriously injured to nearby hospitals.

The train operator has been hospitalized, and an investigation is underway as to what exactly happened.
