Securing America: A Diplomatic Dance in the Middle East [VIDEO]
There’s safety concerns for U.S. citizens in Syria and American activists in Egypt. Plus, the White House is putting more pressure on Iran over its nuclear ambitions.

In Syria, the U.S. Embassy stands empty. The Ambassador and its American staff have left the country.
Nuland: “We have security concerns about the safety of our personnel.”
State Department Spokesperson Victoria Nuland. Meanwhile, the White House is warning Egypt not to prosecute 19 American activists.
Carney: “These actions could have consequences for our relationship, and including our assistance programs.”
And White House Spokesman Jay Carney announced the administration is ramping up sanctions on Iran over its nuclear program.
Carney: “And they continue to pursue a course that is dangerous. We will ramp up the effort to isolate and pressure the regime.”
But so far, efforts to clamp down on Iran and Syria at the United Nations have been foiled by Russia and China.
