Bull on the Loose in Queens, NY, Has Died

A bull that ran loose for a short time in a New York City borough has died before it could be rescued.

FOX’s Gurnal Scott with the story:

It spent about an an hour on the run in Jamaica, Queens, after bolting from a slaughterhouse, but the bull captured after that great escape has died. Media reports indicate the bull was being taken to the Center for Animal Care and Control in Brooklyn when it died. It’s not certain what caused its death.

Police in making several attempts to capture the animal earlier, used tranquilizer darts to try and slow it down. Shortly after that it was cornered and captured in a backyard. A representative of the Skylands Animal Sanctuary in New Jersey was on his way to rescue the bull prior to its death.
