“El Chapo” Judge Shot & Killed in Mexico

They need a new judge for the El Chapo case in Mexico.

    FOX’s Lisa Brady reports:

While the notorious drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman awaits extradition to the U.S, the judge presiding over his case in Mexico has been assassinated, shot and killed while jogging near his home about 45 miles West of Mexico City Monday night.

Vicente Zacarias, reportedly hadn’t been provided with any protective measures, despite serving as the judge on a number of high-profile cases involving other drug lords as well.

No link to any of the cases has been confirmed in his murder. “El Chapo’s” attorneys have been trying to have him transferred back to the same prison he escaped from last year.

He remains in a different prison for now, near the El Paso border.
