Six-Year-Old Abducted Girl Found Alive, Chained to Tree

A little girl who was kidnapped in North Carolina has been rescued.

    FOX’s Dave Anthony reports:

We beat the odds says the sheriff in New Hanover County, North Carolina, finding Stefanny Lenneth Lopez-Castro alive.

The six-year-old was discovered chained to a tree Thursday morning, only a couple miles from where the little girl was abducted, taken her from home the night before.

Rescuers used a saw to cut the chains and free Lopez-Castro, who was said to be calm and lying on her back at the time.

The sheriff’s office later tweeted she is in good condition at a hospital. A suspect who’s a registered sex offender was arrested and charged with first-degree kidnapping.
