Wildfires Still Burning Throughout Southwest

Wildfires are threatening communities around the southwest and even as cooler weather has helped crews get the upper hand on some fires, hot weather is coming back this weekend.

    Fox’s Jessica Rosenthal reports:

The two fires in the San Gabriel Mountains in Eastern L.A. County were threatening two large residential communities. No homes have been lost and people have been allowed home, but still the fire is not out, and the cooler weather that has been a recent help in the fire fight is not sticking around.

This weekend temperatures go back up. And there are still other fires threatening communities now. A fire in Utah in a forest near Washington County has forced evacuations and crews there had to stop their air operations at one point because of someone flying a drone.

A fire on the Colorado/Wyoming border keeps growing thanks to the wind and crews are still trying to keep the 67 square mile Cedar Creek fire in Arizona away from a nearby community there.
