Curry & Kerr Both Hit with Fines Following Game 6 of NBA Finals

The NBA hands out punishments after the Warriors melt down late in Thursday night’s Game 6 of the NBA finals.

FOX’s Chris Hoenig reports:

The NBA fining Warriors guard and league MVP Steph Curry $25,000 for chucking his mouthpiece into the stands after he fouled out of Thursday night’s NBA finals Game 6.

Refs gave Curry a technical and ejected him, sending him to an early shower. After the game, Curry said it was the first time he’d ever been kicked out like that, and it was all just frustration over what he perceived as bad calls:

(Curry) “I’ve thrown my mouthpiece before, I usually aim at the scorers table. I was off-aim, definitely didn’t mean to throw it at a fan.”

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, also fined $25,000 for comments critical of the refs after the game:

(Kerr) “He’s the MVP of the league, he gets six fouls called on him. Three of them were absolutely ridiculous.”

Those, of course, referring to Curry fouling out.
