Rubio Gaining Steam in New National Poll
Donald Trump still has a commanding lead in the Republican race for President in a new national poll, but there’s a new number two candidate.
FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:
Florida Senator Marco Rubio is surging, according to a new national Quinnipiac University poll, showing him with 17% support among likely Republican voters. He’s behind Donald Trump, who’s holding on to a solid lead with 27% support.
Ben Carson takes a hit and lands in third place, tied with Senator Ted Cruz, each with 16% support. Jeb Bush has 5%.
The poll also shows Democrat Hillary Clinton with an enormous lead over Senator Bernie Sanders, 60% to 30%.
