Could More Collaborations Be In the Works After CMA Awards Success?

This year’s CMA Awards brought a new genre crossover to the stage…

FOX’s Ashley Dvorkin has the story:

I’m Ashley Dvorkin.

A big standout performance from this year’s CMA Awards was a collaboration between Justin Timberlake and now three-time CMA winner Chris Stapleton

FOX asks several artists about this overall trend of genre crossovers… Two-time CMA ‘Entertainer of the Year,’ Luke Bryan, shared his thoughts…

(Bryan) “It’s a great way to showcase how music can come together and breakdown walls and stereotypes.”

Edie Brickell and Steve Martin explained what they like about mixing up music genres…

(Martin) “They often spark something they never thought of before.”

(Brickell) “He’s brought out a new side to me.”

(Martin) “She’s much funnier now.”

Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line told us their collaboration wishlist…

(Kelly) “Hopefully one day do something with Rihanna or Wiz Khalifa or Lil Wayne.”

Meantime, Cassadee Pope says it’s nice to see people want to be apart of Country music…

“Hey, we’re down to collaborate with everybody because we all are here because we love music.”

That’s FOX Country, from FOX News.
