A Recent Look Back At Deadly College Shootings

The deadly shooting at Umpqua Community College in Oregon is the latest on or near a college campus.

FOX News Radio’s Tonya J. Powers has a look at other incidents at colleges and universities in recent years:

In June 2014, a 19-year-old student was killed at Seattle Pacific University in Washington before another student tackled the 26-year-old gunman when he stopped to reload.

The month before that shooting, police say 22-year-old Elliot Rodger killed six in attacks near the University of California Santa Barbara.

June 2013 — five killed when a 23-year-old man shot his father, brother, then strangers in cars at Santa Monica College.

April 2012 — seven killed when a former student opened fire at Oikos University in Oakland, California.

And in April 2007, 32 people were shot to death in a dorm and classroom at Virginia Tech before the gunman killed himself.
