Health Insurer Anthem Hacked

    Anthem Hack

One of the nation’s largest health insurance companies has been hit by hackers.

FOX News Radio’s Tonya J. Powers has details:

The hack into health insurer Anthem’s computer network could affect 80 million people.

The bad news first — a whole lot of personal information belonging to current and former customers was breached. Stuff like social security numbers, birth dates, incomes and street addresses.

The good news?… If you could call it that.

The company says credit card information was not compromised, and so far no evidence has been found that medical information like claims and test results was taken.

The FBI is investigating, and Anthem has hired an internet security company to improve its network.
