2015 Oscar Nominees Announced [VIDEO]

“Birdman” and “The Grand Budapest Hotel” lead the 2015 Oscar nominations. The 87th Academy Awards will be hosted by Neil Patrick Harris and will air February 22 on ABC.

FOX News Radio’s Michelle Pollino reports:

“The Grand Budapest Hotel” and ”Birdman” lead the 2015 Oscar nominations with nine nods a piece. “The Imitation Game” had eight. “Boyhood”,”Foxcatcher” both picked up six nods each, including a first time nomination for Steve Carrell as Best Actor.

But the biggest surprise this morning…

(Cheryl Boone Isaacs) “American Sniper — Clint Eastwood, Robert Lorenz, Andrew Lazar, Bradley Cooper and Peter Morgan, Producers.”

“Sniper” picked up six nominations including Best Picture along with “Selma”, which only had two.

In all, the Best Picture nominees are “American Sniper”, “Birdman”, “Boyhood”, “The Grand Budapest Hotel”, “Selma”, “The Imitation Game”, “The Theory of Everything”, and “Whiplash”.
