Demonstrators in New York are upset about a grand jury’s decision not to indict a white police officer in the chokehold death of a black man on Staten Island in July.

FOX News Radio’s Jessica Golloher has the details:

Taking to the streets holding signs that read, “Black Lives Matter,” and chanting, “Whose streets? Our streets!” … demonstrators voiced their frustration.

This unidentified protester says things need to change…

(Protester) “The police structure has always been dedicated to killing and caging black people, since the time of emancipation onward.”

Amateur video shows officer Daniel Pantaleo grabbing African American Eric Garner from behind after he refused to be put in handcuffs. Garner could be heard gasping for breath. The NYPD bans chokeholds. U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder says the federal government will proceed with a civil rights investigation.
