More recalls for GM, and a quick reminder when buying a new ride.

FOX News Radio’s Jeff Monosso reports with our weekly look at things with wheels.

It’s FOX Wheels.

Another recall from GM. This time, it’s the power window switch that could result in a fire, affecting 190,000 SUV’s with the model year 2006 and 2007.

GM says the necessary parts to fix the problem won’t be ready until fall, telling customers to park their vehicles outside.

You buying a new ride? Here’s a tip.

(Bell) “You as the consumer are in charge of the transaction.”

Don’t get emotionally attached to a car and do not be afraid to walk away when something’s not right, says GM Consumer Affairs Chief James Bell; after the state of New Jersey filed suit against a Garden State auto group alleging it deceived customers by not disclosing vehicle histories and allegedly advertising vehicles they didn’t have.

(Bell) “If you are going in to see a certain vehicle and it’s not there, go find it somewhere else.”

And, use the Internet, where a history report is just a click away.
