The number of dead from the recent mudslide in Washington rises as the search and rescue efforts continue.

FOX News Radio’s Jessica Rosenthal reports from the site of the natural disaster:

Ten more bodies have been found. Two of them were recovered yesterday and eight more have yet to be pulled from the landslide area.

This woman says she used to be a volunteer firefighter and had been talking with some current firefighters about what they’re experiencing while searching.

(Former Volunteer Firefighter) “The horrifying noises, the horrifying… finding someone that’s you know, deceased.”

Yesterday’s rain made the search conditions especially difficult, and there’s more rain in the forecast throughout the week.
