Jet Crashes At Santa Monica Airport

Transportation officials are investigating how a small plane crashed in Los Angeles and exploded after what seemed to be a normal landing.

FOX News Radio’s Jessica Rosnethal reports:

The NTSB can’t say how many people were on board the plane that crashed at the Santa Monica Airport only that no one survived.

(McKenny) “We have not identified or recovered any of the victims, there is documentation showing that there was a cockpit voice recorder on board and we have not recovered that yet.”

Van McKenny with the NTSB says the plane veered off, hit a marker on the runway and eventually crashed into a hangar and caught fire. Parts of the hangar wrapped around the plane. A local construction company says they believe their CEO and his son were on board.
