A follower of Charles Manson has been arrested for trying to smuggle a cell phone into the California prison where the mass murderer is being held.

FOX News Radio’s Lisa Lacerra reports:

63-year-old Craig Carlisle Hammond, a follower of Charles Manson who goes by the name “Gray Wolf,” arrested for investigation of conspiracy, possession of an illegal communication device and attempting to bring a cell phone into a prison.  According to a spokesman for the California Department of Corrections, Hammond had a wristwatch cell phone that was found by corrections officer at the Corcoran State Prison in an area where it’s prohibited.

The phone never got to Charles Manson, but he was found with a phone twice before.

The 78-year-old is serving life in prison for orchestrating the 1969 murder of actress Sharon Tate and six others.
