FOX News Radio’s Rich Johnson reports from Quantico, Virginia:
Audio clip:
The base commander Colonel David Maxwell states the obvious.
(Maxwell) “It’s been a long night as we have begun to deal with the tremendous loss.”
Maxwell says one female Marine Officer was shot and killed and hours later police found two other Marines dead, one by a self-inflicted gunshot wound. As to early reports of a standoff with police:
(Maxwell) “That was not the situation this morning. There was not a standoff or barricades.”
All three victims were Marine Officers permanently stationed at the Officer Training School.
