FOX News Poll: Pope Francis

    APTOPIX Vatican Pope

There’s renewed optimism about the Catholic Church thanks to Pope Francis. That’s the consensus in the latest FOX News Poll.

FOX News Radio’s Jeff Monosso reports:

Catholics worldwide are celebrating Pope Francis of Argentina. And according to the latest FOX News Poll, American voters are encouraged.

(Blanton) “76% say Pope Francis makes them feel better about the future of the Catholic Church.”

The FOX News Poll’s Dana Blanton says that number goes even higher, to 79% among practicing Catholics.

As for Pope Francis being the first from outside Europe in 1,200 years? 49% of voters, according to the FOX Poll, think it also represents big change coming to the Church, while 43% don’t think it’s a big deal at all.
