Deadly Crash On CA Raceway

    Tragedy struck after a deadly crash on a raceway in northern California.

    FOX News Radio’s Steve Rappoport reports:

    About half a dozen sprint cars circled the track for warm up laps at Marysville Raceway Park when something went wrong.

    (Johnson) “One of the cars left the track and suddenly drove into the pit area.”

    Yuba County Sheriff’s Captain Ron Johnson says the car traveling at high speed struck two people.

    (Johnson) “The 68-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, the other victim, a 14-year-old male was pronounced dead at the hospital.”

    The 17-year-old driver, unharmed in the crash.

    The Raceway was hosting the season opener of the California Sprint Car Civil War Series.
