Playtime in school turns problematic for a five-year-old boy in Massachusetts who made a toy gun out of Legos.
FOX News Radio's Steve Rappoport reports:
At his after school program, Joseph Cardosa put two Lego pieces together, forming the shape of a gun.
(Cardosa) "We were just walking around. And then he was just like 'no, no, don't shoot me'. And we were just pretending."
But officials at Hyannis West Elementary School weren't playing around when they sent Joseph's parents a letter saying their son acted inappropriately. One more incident could result in suspension.
Joseph's mother Sheila Cruz thinks the school went too far.
(Cruz) "When I was a kid, I mean we could play like that and it wasn't a big deal."
But the principal says the letter is part of the school's policy to provide a safe environment.
