Report: Japan Failing At Health Checks For Fukushima Workers

A United Nations investigator has accused Japan of doing too little to check on the effects of radiation workers and residents are facing near the damaged Fukushima nuclear power plant.

Authorities here in Japan have over-emphasized reports saying the radiation is safe, doing few health checks on workers like those trying to stabilize the Fukushima power plant.  That is according to U.N. rights investigator Anand Grover, speaking after 11 days touring the fallout zone here.

So far, Fukushima workers have capped two damaged reactor buildings and will next year try to remove fuel.  But in the course of their work, they quickly reach their annual radiation limits and can no longer work.  One crane operator there recently telling FOX News Radio, “Japanese television says things are fine at Fukushima; They’re not.”

    There are many who have died due to radiation the cover up is unfurling at the edges . The Pacific is becoming a dead zone and nuclear power is over expensive and on its way to the scrap heap.
