FOX in the Fast Lane: AdvoCare 500 (Atlanta)

NASCAR is at Atlanta Motor Speedway for the AdvoCare 500, where Greg Biffle is shooting for NASCAR’s “trifecta.”  But will we see another Tony Stewart blow up, like at Bristol?

FOX News Radio’s Marghiee “Trackside” Teshineh has that and more in our NASCAR preview:

FOX in the Fast Lane.

Greg Biffle goes to Atlanta having clinched a spot in the Chase, and dreams of winning the Sprint Cup.  Can Biffle – a past Camping World Truck Series and Nationwide champ – make it a clean sweep of all three major NASCAR titles this year?

(Biffle) “I’m not superstitious, but, you know, I’ve got a spot picked out.”

Jeff Gordon thinks he can repeat last year’s Atlanta victory because:

(Gordon) “I feel like our cars are actually better right now, you know, than they even were last year.”

And after running on recently repaved tracks, Martin Truex, Jr. appreciates Atlanta’s rough edges.

(Truex, Jr.) “I really like the fact that it’s old and wore out, and you can run all over it.”

Tony Stewart promises to keep his cool and race clean against Matt Kenseth after throwing his helmet at Matt’s car after the drivers’ cars made contact at Bristol, resulting in damage to Stewart’s car.

And Carl Edwards says he’s not leaving Roush Fenway for Penske Racing now that A.J. Allmendinger is gone after failing a random drug test.
