“Kiss-Ins” Planned As Part of Chick-fil-A Protests [VIDEO]
Supporters of gay marriage plan protests for today (Friday) at Chick-fil-A restaurants, two days after record crowds turned out across the country for Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.
FOX News Radio’s Jeff Monosso reports:
Audio clip:
It was an outpouring of support for Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy, whose business was threatened by politicians and by boycotts after Cathy publicly opposed gay marriage. Tens of thousands showed up at Chick-fil-A’s nationwide; some in opposition of gay marriage, but for others:
(Chick-fil-A Goer) “It isn’t whether it’s a gay issue or not.”
It was about freedom of speech:
(Chick-fil-A Goer) “We support anybody, any businessman, if he wants to sell anything, pro or against anything, he has the right.”
The chain reported record-breaking sales Wednesday, but gay activists say they’ll answer back today, planning what’s dubbed a ‘National Same-Sex Kiss Day’ outside Chick-fil-A restaurants.
