US Drought Worst in More Than 50 Years [VIDEO]

It’s said to be the nation’s worst drought in more than a half-century and it’s a growing concern for government leaders and the U.S. population.

FOX News Radio’s Jennifer Keiper reports from Chicago:

Audio clip:

A federal report says the last time we had a drought this bad, “I Love Lucy” and “Dragnet” were new TV shows. It’s dry from the Dakotas to Alabama.

A Chicago grocer says…

(Grocer) “Certain produce prices are going to go up, but also you’re going to see meat and poultry go up.”

Word is some South Dakota ranchers are selling off cattle due to worsening conditions.

Kentucky officials warn farmers and ranchers to make sure corn silage has acceptable nitrogen levels to avoid killing livestock. Here in northeastern Illinois, the heat and humidity is expected to make it feel as hot as 110-degrees.
