Facebook Changes Users’ Email Addresses
It may be popular, but Facebook is once again irking its users, this time changing a key piece on contact information on everyone’s page.
FOX News Radio’s Jane Metzler reports:
Audio clip:
You may already have an e-mail address, and included it in the information you posted on your Facebook page. If you haven’t checked that lately, you may notice the address listed has changed, and you had nothing to do with it.
Facebook.com e-mail addresses, now automatically replacing your Yahoo, Gmail or AOL e-mail information. Facebook says it’s in the interest of consistency, and you can change it. Critics call it overly intrusive.
It’s the latest update to elicit howls of criticism from some of the social network’s estimated 900 million monthly users.
