Gingrich Formally Drops Out of Presidential Race [VIDEO]
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has formally closed the curtain on his Presidential campaign, throwing his support behind Mitt Romney after campaigning against him for months.
FOX News Radio’s Jill Nado reports from Washington:
Audio clip:
Newt Gingrich had once touted himself as the most conservative guy on the campaign trail. but at a news conference in Arlington, Virginia – just a few miles from the White House – he says he’s stepping aside for presumptive nominee Mitt Romney. Gingrich says he gets asked if Romney is conservative enough.
(Gingrich) “And my answer’s simple: Compared to Barack Obama? You know, this is not a choice between Mitt Romney and Ronald Reagan.”
Gingrich says that he’s going to continue to work to defeat President Obama.
(Gingrich) “This is a choice between Mitt Romney and the most radical leftist President in American history.”
Gingrich’s campaign wraps up with about $4 million dollars worth of debt.

Newt’s speech today was heart felt and especially brilliant. Newt’s comments on the House and Senate were 100% accurate. Washington certainly is broken and for the most part, our elected officials no longer serve America, but serve the special $$interests$$ of America, and yes we do we need to think anew. Also I thought, Newt’s comments over our future were also especially inspiring. Newt’s comparisons of Obama & Romney, were especially poignant and should have left no doubt to us Gingrich supporters as to what we must do this coming November. Although to us it was vividly clear what Newt was saying, it seems Shepard Smith had made up his mind prior to the speech, to find other meaning, and to find any and all ways to sabotage the Speaker’s speech.

This attack following Newt’s speech by Shepard Smith was of the same distasteful and vulgare stuff the Romney Campaign has been $$paying$$ to spewing out over the airwaves for the last 12 months. Mr Smith’s trashing of Speaker Gingrich, has left me felling especially aggravated and has re-ignited the extreme “bitterness” I’ve felt towards Romney and his slippery crew too! So thanks to Mr Smith (and FOX News) it’s vividly clear, why I personally will not be assisting in any of the Romney Campaign efforts. The way I see it, (with the exception of Judges and ObamaCare) As long as Obama doesn’t control the House and Senate, he can’t hurt us too much more than he already has.
Sincerely,
