6-Year-Old Handcuffed After Throwing Tantrum in School [VIDEO]

Police are defending what they did to take control of a young student in Georgia.

FOX News Radio’s Ron Flatter has details:

Audio clip:

Officers say a girl got out of control at school in Milledgeville, Georgia. Tearing things off walls, throwing furniture, even injuring the principal when she knocked over some shelves.

So police handcuffed Salecia Johnson, took her into custody and charged her with assault and damaging property.

Johnson is a six-year-old kindergartener. Her parents say police went over the line, but Police Chief Dray Swicord says the officers employed proper procedure, regardless of age.

As a retired teacher of 29 years I can tell you how a 6 year old can get out of control. Its so sad that they have no discipline coming from home to help them with their self-control. Maybe handcuffing her now will save her from being handcuffed for something worse when she is older!
