It’s no holiday for drivers this Labor Day Weekend as they head to Atlanta Motor Speedway. And Jeff Gordon’s little girl decorates daddy’s car. FOX News Radio’s Marghiee Teshineh has the latest with “FOX In The Fast Lane.”
Audio clip:
Only 2 races left…only 2 racers have a secure spot in the chase – Kevin Harvick and Jeff Gordon.
But Carl Edwards – now in 4th place, doesn’t seem worried about making the cut. He’ s excited about racing in Atlanta because of its history, the track’s surface, and the fans.
Not the case for Jamie McMurray, currently in 13th place and trying to avoid elimination. McMurray says though 12th place Clint Bowyer stands in his way for a shot at the Cup, the odds could be worse.
And Jeff Gordon’s car got a new a paint job, featuring 3 year old daughter Ella’s original artwork, with a little help from NASCAR artist Sam Bass. It’s to help Gordon’s Children’s Foundation raise awareness in September – Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

Until NASCAR gets rid of the current cars I could care less and I use to be a weekly fan for 20 years. Race the Mustang, Camaro and Challenger with STOCK BODIES, Toyota can come out with a new Firebird or what ever pony car. Engines are stock block with no special engines, brakes off of a real car or truck. All cars have to be 60% stock based parts. Also get rid of the qualifying set up the fastest 33 cars go in on time and the rest race thier way in a 50 lap race.
