Former Fed. Prosecutor John Flannery: The army is covering their own behind with Bowe Bergdahl
Monday on The Alan Colmes Show, former federal prosecutor John Flannery discussed the charges against Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl and why he should not get prosecuted. Flannery also revealed Bergdahl’s best defense: ”The army feels like they have to cover their own behind for allowing a man who wasn’t up to a combat position and waving the requirements when the Coast Guard said that he wasn’t up to it. I think the best thing that happened to Sgt. Bergdahl is that he has that record to show he never should have been in Afghanistan but we needed troops and put him there,” Flannery explained.
