The partial government shutdown continues with seemingly no end in sight as President Trump and Democratic lawmakers refuse to compromise and pass a spending bill - with funding for a border wall at the crux of the fight. Trump has repeatedly vowed not to reopen the government without $5.7 billion for wall constructions. Democrats have refused to capitulate and have favored measures that would bolster border security as a whole instead of a concrete wall.
Guy Benson sat down with Congressman Mike Gallagher (R-WI) and asked him what he is hearing from the halls of Congress and what his position is on how we get out of this thing. Rep. Gallagher said he had hoped the President's speech would have perhaps "moved the needle", but it looks like Pelosi and Schumer have "dug in".
