41 ~ Former President George W. Bush will deliver the eulogy for his late father, former President George H.W. Bush, on Wednesday. The official schedule of events commemorating the United States' 41st president does not list the speakers lined up for ceremonies at the Washington National Cathedral on Wednesday. A source close to the planning confirmed that the speakers will include the 43rd president, former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, former Senator Alan Simpson and biographer Jon Meacham. President Donald Trump, who has clashed with the Bush family, will attend the funeral but is not scheduled to speak. Brit Hume, Senior political analyst for Fox News Channel, talks about the legacy of 41.
I'm The Guy! Possible 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden is confident about his ability to do the job. "I think I'm the most qualified person in the country to be president. The issues that we face as a country today are the issues that I've worked on my whole life -- the plight of the middle class and foreign policy," the former vice president said Monday night at an event for his book tour in Montana, according to the Missoula Current. The comments are the clearest signal yet that Biden could challenge President Donald Trump in 2020. However, the 76-year-old Democrat said his family "needs to decide as a unit whether we're ready" for a presidential campaign.
Crazy! Republican Senators Lindsey Graham (S.C.) and Bob Corker (Tenn.) said the CIA left little doubt that Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) was complicit in the murder of activist and writer Jamal Khashoggi. CIA Director Gina Haspel briefed two Senate committees on Capitol Hill Tuesday on the CIA's findings about the murder of Khashoggi. "There's not a smoking gun, there's a smoking saw," said Graham, adding that anyone who would deny bin Salman's involvement at this point is "willfully blind."
