Anthony Scaramucci, founder of SkyBridge Capital and Former White House Communications Director, joined Fox News Radio's Guy Benson to discuss his advice for the White House, his prediction for Trump 2020 and more.
On if he could do it over again if he would take the job in the White House: Yes, is the answer to the first question. It was humbling. You could take it a step further and say it was somewhat humiliating, but that's okay. That's the rough and tumble life in politics. I obviously made a mistake. I don't think Kelly needed to fire me the way that he did. (1:13)
On the number one piece of advice he would give to White House: I think it's very clear he should be in the mid-50s on his approval rating, and so we can pretend that the polls aren't realistic but they probably are because you have to understand statistics and cross-sampling of polling. The way to get into the mid-50s is to dial back all the nonsense and so what I don't like about what is going on in the White House frankly is the President is going to beat to his own drum I get that but don't be a yes person. Tell the President constructively what you think he needs to do better or how he needs to position himself better to make things better for everybody. (4:02)
On the argument that Trump's rhetoric helps him: I was on the campaign with him and I accept that his combative nature got him to the presidency, certainly his use of social media helped, but he is president. He is the leader of the free world and he has to be president for all people. He may not like me saying this. You can't go after Don Lemon. You can't go after Lebron James because even if you're not a racist you're going to set off alarm bells and you're going to have people thinking you are. I know the President isn't and I have no problem defending him in the air waves saying that he's not a racist, but you're setting up presumptions and setting up road blocks for other people who don't know you as well as I do to think that you might be. He'll be upset about that, but that's just the truth. (6:35)
On his sense of Ohio special election: It seems like it's going to very close. I think that Republicans are going to eke it out. I think the President showing up here on Saturday is going to have a big impact, and a big positive impact in the race. (9:55)
On his predication of chances for reelection for Trump: The potential people they are going to yield right now I don't think have the right skill set the versatility or personality to beat him. So I think he resoundingly wins. I think it's gotta be 80%-85% that he wins reelection. So let's get him there. (11:14)
