President Trump's support could decide a close GOP nomination for Governor of Georgia. The president recently endorsing Brian Kemp, Georgia's Secretary of State over Lt. Governor Casey Cagle. The two candidates are competing in a July 24th runoff election. The eventual nominee will compete in the November general election against Stacey Abrams, who's vying to become the first black woman to serve as governor of the state.
Todd Starnes talked to Kemp about the effect President Trump's endorsement will have on his campaign and whether it will result in getting the votes of Trump supporters.
"I'm glad to have the Deplorables on the Kemp train that's rolling through Georgia right now, I can tell you that. People think highly of their pick-up truck and their guns and things of that nature down here in the great state of Georgia. We don't run from that, we embrace it and I certainly did in my television commercials. It's not only the values of our state, but our country as well," Kemp said.
