Todd Starnes recently spoke with Bill Lee, a cattle farmer and businessman who is running to become the next governor of Tennessee, about the negative ads Lee's opponent, Rep. Diane Black (R-TN), has been running against HIM criticizing his decision to donate money to Democratic candidates.
"I actually think deceptive attack ads are everything that's wrong with politics. I'm not going down that road, that's not what leaders do. I actually really believe those ads will tell you a whole lot more about the person behind the ad than the person in them, because they're deceptive about the person in them. They don't really tell you the truth about the person in the ad. But the truth about the person behind the ad is you've got someone who is willing to deceive and willing to say or do anything to get elected," Lee said.
