In a shocking upset, 28-year-old Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, in her first campaign, beat 10-term incumbent Congressman Joe Crowley (D-NY) in New York's 14th congressional district. Ocasio-Cortez is an activist and member of the Democratic Socialist America.
Todd Starnes spoke with GOP strategist Jen Kerns about whether Ocasio-Cortez's victory means the Democratic party will be headed in a more Socialist direction.
"You have a different poster child, a different face of the Democratic party every week, and they're really getting off message from where they need to be. The Democrats really here are suffering here from what I call the lack of the 'three M's:' Message, money, and management, which means competent leadership at the top and they don't have any of those three," Kerns said.
