Todd Starnes spoke with California Assemblyman Matthew Harper (R-74th District) about why he argued against a recent California State Assembly bill that would adopt International Workers' Day as a paid holiday. International Socialist Workers' Day, or "May Day" had been observed in countries under Communist rule and was an official holiday of the Soviet Union.
Harper said, "Honestly, I think they're tone deaf here in California. Not only are they putting up the gas tax, they voted for SB562, the socialized medicine bill, and also just going overboard with the sanctuary state. This is just the symptom of a greater, you know, just going over the cliff and just being crazy about some of these left-wing bills they're passing through here."
