The Navy is investigating the placement of a Bible on a POW/MIA table tribute at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Okinawa, Japan. The investigation stems from a complaint by a group known for fighting displays of religious liberty in the armed forces.
First Liberty Institute general counsel Hiram Sasser joined Todd Starnes to explain why "we are doomed" if people like the Military Religious Freedom Foundation are offended by just the sight of a Bible on a tribute to prisoners of war and missing servicemen, part of a long-standing military tradition. Starnes noted there were significant attacks on religious liberty during the Obama administration. Sasser said with a laugh, "You imagine if President Trump found out about this, that someone was complaining about a Bible being on a table? He'd probably put two on the table!"
