Despite claims to the contrary, the University of California, Berkeley appears to have no interest in supporting the right to free speech, as long as that speech is coming from a conservative. On Wednesday, the university informed the Young America's Foundation and the Berkeley College Republicans that the school would not be hosting a speech from conservative Ben Shapiro that was scheduled for Sept 14. This isn't the first time Berkeley has cancelled a conservative speaker-- both Milo Yiannopoulos and Ann Coulter are conservative speakers whose appearances were cancelled in the past year by the liberal university. Spencer Brown, spokesperson for Young America's Foundation, joined the Todd Starnes Show today to discuss UC Berkeley's penchant for cancelling conservative speakers and what we need to do about it.
