Kellyanne Conway, Counselor to President Donald Trump, called into the Todd Starnes Show today to discuss a plethora of topics ranging from veteran's affairs, to economic growth, to the President's temporary travel haul. Listen to the full interview below:
Kellyanne Conway on the disconnect between President Trump's accomplishments and media coverage:
He's taking his second major foreign trip today as we speak, flying to Poland, and it's just amazing what the president is doing versus what's being covered by the press. I think that's the real disconnect. As somebody who doesn't say 'fake news' or 'enemy of the people' or 'opposition party', my grievance is the incomplete coverage of the fact that Americans are not getting the information they need.
Kellyanne Conway on President Trump's dedication to first responders and military veterans:
It's really about our morality, our pride, our spirit, our identity. Our obligation to those who have sacrificed, sometimes giving the ultimate sacrifice, for you and I to be on this show right now speaking the way we are, or for people to disagree with us the way they do. And that's the spirit of America, and he's absolutely right. And you also see this woman officer, God rest her sweet soul, in NYC, gunned down in her patrol car overnight. Member of the NYPD, mother of three, gunned down and shot in the head in cold blood while she's sitting there serving the public. Risking her life, and indeed paying with it as so many first-responders have. And so we need to show respect to particularly those who fight for our freedoms, and "Run into burning buildings while others run out" as the saying goes, and who are deployed all across the world to keep us safe and to keep us prosperous. And I'm so happy that respect begins at the very top with the president and the vice-president.
